Dr. Michelle Conrad’s journey into optometry began at just eight years old, when her first pair of glasses transformed her world from a blur into clarity. Inspired by that life-changing experience, she chose a career dedicated to helping others improve and preserve their vision.

A licensed therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist, Dr. Conrad has extensive experience treating ocular pathology and performing minor procedures. She remains committed to continuing education to provide thorough, compassionate, and comprehensive eye care.

Education

Dr. Conrad graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. She later earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Optometry, where she completed her professional training in optometric care.

Dr. Conrad is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist, garnering numerous years of experience diagnosing and managing ocular pathologies, performing minor ocular procedures, and prescribing glasses and contact lenses.

Professional Accolades

Dr. Conrad’s research on dry eye disease and systemic hydration was presented at the American Academy of Optometry annual meeting, a national conference for optometric professionals.

Community Involvement

Dr. Conrad volunteered at the Special Olympics and Key Club, where she helped provide vision screenings. She has also traveled to rural Mexico to volunteer at a health clinic serving underserved populations.

Why I chose optometry

What inspired you to become an eye doctor?

“I received my first pair of glasses around eight years old after poor performance academically and realized just how much clearer my world became. The blob I’d pass everyday to school was actually a tree! The optometrist who changed my life with a simple pair of glasses inspired me to help others improve and preserve the most important sense: vision.”

What do you love most about your job?

“I love seeing and interacting with my patients to preserve their vision, whether it’s simply updating their glasses or contact lenses, or diagnosing and managing their ocular pathologies.”

Outside of work, Dr. Conrad enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, valuing the balance and perspective that family brings to her life. She is a lifelong learner, staying current with the latest advancements in eye care to provide thorough, compassionate, and high-quality examinations. Her commitment to excellence ensures that every patient receives attentive care tailored to their individual needs.
