A Non-Surgical Treatment

Say goodbye to glasses — while you sleep.

Orthokeratology (ortho-k) uses custom lenses you wear overnight to gently reshape your cornea. Take them out in the morning and see clearly all day — no glasses, no daytime contacts, no surgery.

The Simple Part

Clear vision happens overnight

No procedure, no downtime — just three easy steps that repeat while you sleep.

Tonight

Put in your lenses

Insert your custom-fit ortho-k lenses just before bed — comfortable enough to sleep in.

While You Sleep

Your cornea reshapes

The lenses gently and gradually reshape the front surface of your eye.

Tomorrow

Wake up & see clearly

Take the lenses out and enjoy sharp vision all day — glasses-free.

IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU?

Ortho-K is a great fit for many eyes

A thorough exam is the only way to know for sure — but these are the people who benefit most.

01

Nearsightedness

Blurry distance vision (myopia) that ortho-k can correct overnight.

02

Farsightedness

Trouble focusing up close, addressed while you sleep.

03

Astigmatism

An irregular curvature that ortho-k can gently reshape.

04

Growing Kids

May slow the progression of childhood myopia — more below.

05

Active Lifestyles

No glasses or daytime lenses for sports, the pool, or the trail.

06

Not Ready for LASIK

A reversible, non-surgical alternative — including for children.

FOR GROWING EYES

More than convenience — myopia control.

For children whose prescription climbs every year, ortho-k does something glasses can’t: in many cases it can meaningfully slow how quickly myopia progresses.

That matters well beyond thinner lenses. Lower lifetime myopia is linked to lower long-term risk of eye health problems — so it’s a proactive choice for your child’s future, not just their morning routine. And since LASIK isn’t an option for kids, it’s one of the few tools available.

GOOD TO KNOW

Ortho-K, answered

How does it work?
While you wear the rigid lenses overnight, they gently mold the front surface of your eye — correcting your vision while you sleep. The effect can last up to about 48 hours depending on your prescription.
Both adults and children can be great candidates. Ortho-K can be prescribed for nearsighted, farsighted, and astigmatic patients — a strong alternative to wearing contacts and glasses full time.
Yes. For children whose vision is progressing each year, ortho-k can — in many cases — dramatically slow the effects of myopia. Since LASIK isn’t available for children, it’s a valuable alternative.
Most patients see the full effect within about a week of consistent overnight wear. Many notice a big improvement after just the first few nights.
No. The reshaping is temporary and fully reversible — your cornea gradually returns to its prior state once you stop wearing the lenses.
