Village Vision Center is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we do
- Give meaningful images text alternatives, and mark purely decorative images so screen readers skip them.
- Keep text and controls at contrast levels that meet WCAG 2.2 AA.
- Make menus, links, buttons, and forms usable with a keyboard and show a visible focus indicator.
- Use headings, landmarks, and labels so assistive technology can navigate each page.
- Respect your device’s reduced-motion setting by pausing background video and limiting animation.
- Design pages to work at different screen sizes and when text is enlarged.
- Test pages with automated tools and by hand as the site changes.
Third-party services
Some features are provided by other companies, including online appointment scheduling, patient intake forms, our online eyewear shop, contact lens ordering, and embedded maps. We choose these providers with care, but we do not control their accessibility. If one of them is difficult to use, please contact us and we will help you complete the task another way, such as scheduling by phone.
